I was born in Jackson, Mississippi on April 30,1980. By the grace of God I was born again in 1987 at the age of seven. The Lord opened my eyes to the simple plan of salvation one Sunday night at church, and the Lord used my mother later that night to explain to me further the good news that Jesus Christ died for my sins. At that time, I simply understood that I was a sinner, that I could do nothing about that sin myself, and that Jesus Christ paid for my sin by His death on the cross, and that I could have a relationship with God through faith in Christ. This was the most important day of my life.

Since then, the Lord has taught me great things concerning Himself, concerning myself, and concerning His Word. From the age of two I grew up at a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Mississippi (Friends of Alcoholics). Here my mother and father ministered on staff to men and women with drug and alcohol problems. The focus was on a new life in Jesus Christ to free one from the bondage of drugs and alcohol. Through my parents, this ministry, and our local church I was taught sound, biblical truth.

I also met my wife at this ministry. Her parents were led by the Lord to this ministry, and after a couple of years we began establishing a relationship with one another. Five years later, on June 1, 2002, we were married. Since then our family has been growing as the Lord has blessed us with two great boys, Luke (3) and Joel (1). We are enjoying watching them grow and praying that they will trust Christ as their Savior.

After I graduated high school, the Lord laid upon my heart a desire to minister to young people. I spent two years at a local junior college in Mississippi taking care of my core credits and then began taking correspondence courses (through the mail) from Moody Bible Institute to get my degree. I graduated in May 2004 from Moody with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies. During this time my wife and I began praying that the Lord would lead us to the church that He would have us to minister with. After what seemed like a long period of time in our eyes, the Lord led us to Central Bible Church where we have been since August 2005. We are so excited to be part of this body of believers and look forward to what the Lord is going to accomplish at Central as we make ourselves available to Him.

By the way, here are some basics about me:

• My favorite color is blue
• I love steak, Mexican food, and asparagus casserole (yum).
• My favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:18 (right now) and my favorite book of the Bible is Romans.
• My favorite Bible characters are Aaron (of course, except when he made the golden calf), Joseph, Daniel, Jesus (of course), and the apostle Paul.
• I love sports (especially football - go Saints!)
• Family stuff: 2 sisters; 1 sister in law; 3 brothers in law; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and still growing
