Being a parent

is a huge responsibility.  A parent's emotions can go from being proud of your child and filled with joy to having great sorrow, frustration and/or anger -- and that can all take place in ten minutes or less.

But parenting is also a great privilege given to us by the Lord.  And it is the parents' reponsibility to disciple their children in the Lord.

"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." - Ephesians 6:4 (NIV)

At CBC, it is our desire to come alongside you as a parent in both the childrens and youth ministries as you look to fulfill your goal of seeing your children come to Christ and grow in Him.  It is NOT our desire to take that responsibility from you.

We also want to help train and equip you as a parent to be able to effectively minister to your child, so we have put together a list of resources that you might find to be helpful tools you can use to equip yourself as you train your child in the Lord.
