Purpose of Youth Ministry

Our purpose at CBC is to support and supplement parents in their desire to see their children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ so that they may be steadfast in their faith.

We accomplish this purpose by focusing on 3 areas:

1. Teaching God’s Word – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
   
   God’s Word is the one constant in an ever changing world. His Word is applicable and pertinent to each and every generation. We believe the teaching of God’s Word will mature our young people in their faith. We accomplish this through Sunday School, devotions at activities, and our Sunday morning and Sunday evening worship services.




2. Service – Mark 10:4; Galatians 5:13; Ephesians 6:7
   
   Serving is a very important part of a believer’s life. We want our young people showing forth the love of Christ by practical service. This may involve anything from raking a yard to helping in children’s church,CBC Awana Clubs, or Child Evangelism Fellowship.






3. Social Activity
   
   We want our young people fellowshipping with one another and having fun together. We accomplish this goal by planning activities for them each month.
